Tire fitment question................

I have a set of 18x8" and 18x9.5" wheels with winter tires on them that were on my 2007 X5 4.8i and they fit Perfectly. I have someone that wants to buy them, but has a 2011 model. They have the proper offset and bolt pattern/spacing for my old 2007, but I'm wondering if they changed something in the newer versions. I doubt it, but I wanted to ask you Guys to make sure.

Can you Guys Please tell me if these will fit on a 2011 X5?

I had someone ask me that and I couldn't honestly answer it. I'd Appreciate any help that you're willing to offer.

offset and bolt pattern is correct. however I think the 2011 has a larger center bore of 74.1 and yours is a 72.6 maybe someone can confirm?

After doing a little bit of research, are you sure that you're not comparing the E53 hub bore (72.51) to the E70 bore (74.1)?

I think that to put the newer rims on an E53, you need rings, but I didn't think that it mattered on the E70's though, but that's why I asked.

I'd think that since the 2007-2012 designation is still E70 for the X5's, that things would still be the same. You never know with BMW though.

Im really not sure. BMW does do some crazy things though. Like the X6 has 72 in the front and 74 in the rear... I will look into this for you today and get back to you...

X3 E83 = PCD 5x120, center bore 72.5mm and M14x1.5 bolt thread. ET 40-45

X5 E53 = PCD 5x120, center bore 72.5mm and M14x1.5 bolt thread. ET 40-45

X5 E70 = PCD 5x120, center bore 74.0mm and M14x1.25 bolt thread. ET 37-53

X6 E71 = PCD 5x120, center bore FRONT 74.0mm, center bore REAR 72.5mm and M14x1.5 bolt thread.

The only problem the buyer will have is with the TPMS sensors as they changed (think LCI vehicles got the changeover) and your old ones will not work with his newer system.

That is correct.

Does someone know when they changed and, if it was different for different models (E70, E71, and X5M/X6M), when that date for those models was?
