ipod still freezing

I did the update, but my ipod will still freeze peridiocally at least once a week occurance.

I tried using both just the apple usb cable & the Y-adapter bmw cable.. both end up freezing at one point or another..

I hope BMW finds a solution for this because doing some searches it seems like this happens to a lot of newer bmw owners.

People are talking about it on the apple site as welll..

https://discussions.apple.com/thread...rt=15&tstart=0

doing some more searches on google.. using the keywords "bmw ipod freezes" it seems like a lot of people have are having the same issue.. and of course bmw is going to say "it is apples fault" most likely.

I have an Ipod Nano 4th gen (the longer body) plugged into the AUX with an ebay cable (not apple) and it works perfectly.

Interesting. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that the nano uses flash memory whereas the classic ipod uses a hard drive. Just a thought because the OP is using a classic and so am I.

i use the bmw Y cable and it happened to me once but I thought it was my ipod that was doing it.

My biggest pet peeve is how it starts playing from the beginning each time I turn on the car. how the hell has bmw not figured out these simple things?? I haven't heard any other car manufactures with the integradable ipod have this issue. Sometimes, I find myself really feeling that BMWs are way over rated...but that's just MHO

My wife's Sonata has bluetooth streaming music from my Android. I wish I had that, but a new '13 X3 loaner I had couldn't even do that. It does bluetooth voice fine and it shows the audio option but nothing happens. WTF BMW.

I usually check the "random" option in idrive and it startes weherever it left off when I turned the car off.
