FRM3 coding

Posting here for more traction. 2010 x5 35d pre-lci. Having some troubles with a new (used) frm3. Old one stopped working. Grabbed a new one (2012 model) from junkyard and was able to write vin and code to defaults. However, I have been unable to get the inner tail lights working properly. They come on as drl, but they do not increase brightness with brake applied. I have tried playing with different options including brake force with no success. I should note the new frm has a manufacturer date of 5/17 so I'm assuming it was replaced on the wrecked x at some point. Has anyone dealt with this or have any insight into what I may be missing? Thanks

drl on brake applied

The 4 led strip thing - tail/stop lights. All other parts work, i.e reverse and rear fog and drl. Checked voltage at the connector and no voltage with drl off and brake applied. No change in voltage with drl on and brake applied. Did not have this before frm replacement

How did you default code? Write a blank man file?

Expert mode, then code. Also tried blank man. I have been able to change certain options (follow me home lights, etc), just brake light functionality not correct. May try to downgrade manually in winkfp, but there is no .0da file and the .dat file shows 0000000.0da for the data file. Doesn't exist in the daten and not sure what that means

What date in the FA did you use to code in expert mode? FRM should be sending voltage to brake light for pre-lci car.
