I'm wanting to replace my trunk roundel with a carbon fiber one I just purchased on eBay...just the roundel, not the entire chrome housing. I've searched this forum and there seems to be differing explanations; some say it's glued, some say it's one entire piece with the housing, some say it just pops right off with the pins... Does anyone have any pics for demonstration? I've seen a few YouTube videos but they are all for the hood roundel...none for the trunk! I don't want to take a chance and break it off or end up having to take it to a body shop/dealer with my tail between my legs! Cheers!

Use a sharp knife, with a soft touch. You will be able to "pry" it, (and not use it again) off... use Gorilla Glue (dabs of it) and fix in to place. Next time, get the CF stickers, makes life EASIER!

Or just buy the whole shebang and pop out the entire roundel (with chrome housing) and pop in a new one. Seems easier and then you can always resell later on.
