2007 X5 E70 - High Rate of Discharge Message

Hi,
This is my first post and I am hoping that someone can help me. As my local BMW Center and local euro mechanics cant seem to.

My E70 2007 X5 3.0TD is coming up in the mornings with a message on the screen stating "High Rate of Discharge" & the battery is either dead or nearly dead. Making it very hard to start. BMW told me that the battery was stuffed, so I spent big $$ and put the recommended Varta replacement.

Still my clock resets and so does my trip meter and the same message appears. The only addition I have fitted is the TV in motion but can't imagine that that would cause it.

Also, every time I open the door. The CD changer cycles through all the discs. Should that even happen??

Please HELP...

BMW has a TSB that includes attaching a monitor to the bus to monitor battery drain and current draws overnight... it will check for modules turning off (and on) and making sure all are behaving.

Have your dealer FIND this and DO IT.
