cant wait for my 2013 X5 xDrive50 to arrive
2013 X5 xDrive5.0: - deep sea blue metallic (A76) - black leather (LUSW) - aluminium trim (4AD) - M Sport pkg: (ZMP) - 20" wheels (2NY) - multi-contour seats (468) - M steering wheel with shifter paddles (7XA) - M Performance Pkg (ZMX) - Premium Sound (ZSP) - Premium pkg (ZPP) - space saver wheel (300) - Adaptive Drive (2VA) I am getting pretty excited about it, production is not scheduled until wk 20 and I dont suppose I will get it until mid June, which seems such a long time away ... I will post pics once I get it! |

Sounds like its going to be worth the wait. Are you concerned about the body style change coming for MY14?

honestly, the E70 is a compromise, the car I really wanted was an F11 550i M-Sport Touring, but BMW NA in their (lack of) infinite wisdom decided that we are not worthy... my 2nd choice was an X5M, but I could not justify the extra $14k over this spec, for my DD and 4x dog transporter! p.s love the aerokit on your car ... much sexier than the ZMP aero IMHO |

Congrats. You'll love it. I actually prefer the way the 50i M Sport drives over the X5M. Much smoother. Plus the performance and handling are more than enough for most folks.

I'm actually hoping that the adaptive drive might make the ride a little closer to that of the X5M ... the "sports activity" model I tested I found a little "floaty" esp at freeway speeds... I suppose the H&R lowering kit will "solve" that anyway!

Just ordered my 2013 x5 35i SAV last friday and working out delivery in SC for PCD in June. If you're there, I will be getting my Alpine White, Sand Beige, Dark Bamboo wood, HUD, running boards, BMW APPS and Cold weather package. I will definitely post pics and vids when I return! Congrats on the purchase!! I'd love to get that twin turbo v8 but its 15k over my budget...

You can still do the delivery. Call your sales advisor and tell him the dates you are available. They do delivery only on Monday-Friday. They pick you and a guest up at the airport, drop off at Marriott where they feed you dinner and breakfast the next morning, pick you and your guest up after breakfast and you do: tour of museum, tour of factory, an hour or so of the class then 2 hours on 3 different road courses. for SAV buyers, they include a bonus off road course with one of their cars so you can trash tires and brakes that arent yours!! Do it if you can.... I have wanted to do this for my previous M3 car and couldn't do it because of time constraints but i'm going this time around..
