Tire Wear vs. Type Of Engine
I am noticing an interesting differences in longevity of my tires when I went from 2008 4.8 to 2011 3.5d.
I've kept good records of tire wear (checked every 3 months) for both cars, and so far I am seeing somewhat better longevity (almost by 50%) of tires on my diesel X5. Same roads, same type of driving (hwy vs. local), about same temps. Perhaps 4.8 was "too much power" for the tires, so they wore off faster ? Does anyone else sees similar results? Any theories?
