It's Tire Time and I need your opinion

Hey All!

It's time for new tires on my 2007 X5 4.8i with 19's

I'm SICK AND TIRED of the RFT's and ready to swap for non-RFT's because I want a quieter and smoother ride.

Who has done this, what tire, where did you go and how do you like it?

Conti Extreme Contact DWS's are a common choice with positive feedback.

Agreed. I have them on my x. Price was good and they do ride much better than the run flats.

Pirelli Scorpion Verdes
Amazing quiet ride - they handle perfect and are LRR.

Toyo's are nice, but my 18" had some noise from them, other's with the Toyo's are very happy but they are running 19 and 20"

plenty have the 20" STII... they are extremely durable and noise level is low.

I replaced the RFT Michelin Lattitudes with the non RFT version. As far as I'm concerned, there is no equal with regard to tread life.

great dry traction, great wet traction especially standing water. can't speak for snow.

People say "RFT" like it is a singlular tire made/model...

I recall BMW shipped 3 or 4 different runflats, no?

Are you saying, the RFT gave better tread life?

Ciao,
