Pirelli*Scorpion Verde All Season

IMO this is the best all season tire for the X5 right now. Smooth riding, sharp steering response, excellent traction in all conditions, quiet, long lasting with a wear rating of 600. I've got 7K miles on them and they look like I installed them yesterday. It will feel like a completely different and much nicer car when you replace your RFTs with these

Started out with Michelin MXV4 from the factory. Went thru a set of latitudes now back to the MXV4's. For me they give me the best overall performance within the price range. No noise, reasonable handling, ect.

Interested to hear about the differences...of course it is hard to recall what the new tires were like, the most acute reference is the old worn out tire to the new ones...but given the complaining about RFTs, there are vurtually NO comparisons of the same tire, same everything- comparing just RFT to Std.

Can't speak for tread life on the present non RFT's versus the RFT's but the everyday living with the non RFT's is vastly superior. I'm assuming that I will most likely do as well as the Lattitude RFTs that were on my '08. They got to around 40k if memory serves so evidently the Proxes outperform that, but it doesn't matter to me, I wouldn't buy them.

I've got 19's on my '10 35d and the slamming harshness experienced with the RFT's is gone.Yes, there is a bit of loss of turn in response and a bit more body roll, but these characteristics are not that important to me for this vehicle which is my rolling office, now at 62k miles.

I went with Bridgestone Dueler Sport H/P (street summer tire) for my 20's in non-RFT; great tire. I've run the Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza on my 2001 X5 with 18" and on my 2004 X5 with 18" tires. I got LOTS of miles out of those tires and they were quiet. Handling was superb.

I went around and around when I got my 20's for the 2011 (considered Toyo, Michelin Latitude and Conti Extreme DWS) and ended up back at Bridgestone because of my experience before and also my experience in general with the Bridgestones we've run on our 2000 323i and then later on our 2006 325i (it's RFT's lasted 10 months before the fronts were shot).

The sidewall on the Dueler Sport H/P's stiff and I've felt the cornering is more precise and there is minimal body roll. I was able to use the Costco price as a bargaining chip at the Firestone store to get them to match the price.

Good luck!

Yes I had very good experience with MXV4 as well. I will pay a little more for Michelin.

I would probably go with these
