I cannot believe the poor quality of the Dunlops.
Thanks for the feedback Brian...I thought I was the only one!

How's the CR and GT3RS been treating you? Any more pics? I'm still dreaming about my 991...

Your welcome Ryan. Thanks for asking. RS is spectacular, already have 10 track days in this year and plans for 25 more. The Cayman R is a wonderful piece of track machinery. The chassis is too good that I find myself flat-out in several sections of the track from the confidence inspiring handling. My wife broke the PSM last week and it has some engine malfunction warnings so it is at the dealer for a checkup. I'm sure it is all software issues.

You defin should buy a 991. They are incredible, and the cabs are fantastic sounding, looking, with outstanding performance. Go with the two tone agate/grey full leather interior (I hate grey interiors typically, but this time it looks awesome) and a basalt black or guards red exterior.

I find myself coveting a Cayenne GTS, so not sure how much longer my X5M is going to be around......

Dunlop 20" wore out after 13k miles

Hi All,
My wife and I both have 2012 X5 35ds. (I ordered myself one and she took it over, so I bought another one).

My wife's X5 has 13k miles on it. The treadwear is less than 1mm now, and it had severe cupping. We live in Southern CA and she drives back and forth to work (mostly freeway). I have to have the car aligned and get new tires. Dealer is offering me a pretty solid price (after a little negotiation), but it's on the same Dunlop tires. Dealer is offering Dunlop or Michelin for $1500 or $2500 respectively. Looks like some of you bought bridgestones? Any advice you all can give would be great. I'd like this next set to last longer than 13k miles if possible ... WOuld really appreciate anyone's input. Need to make a decision asap as the car is sitting at the dealer ...

p.s. car has the 20" y-spoke rims.
