jharms, BMW of Austin is a rip, but since they are the only game in town for dealerships, you don't have much choice if you're under warranty. You should look into some of the independent shops around. I've heard good things about Terry Sayther and also Paul's Motor Werks.

Thanks! Its my wife's car and she's going to be taking it by European Import Car Repair to get a quote. I've had some work done at this shop and they seemed to know what they were doing. I'll look into Terry Sayther and Paul's Motor Werks as well. Thanks for the referrals.

Out of warranty so the repair bill is on me!
