Praying there is someone out there that can help!!!

I so desperately want take those good for nothing running boards off my X5. To hate them is an under statement. MY problem, I can't for the life of me figure out what the pieces are called that original come in place of the running boards. I googled "black side strips" and nothing. Please help before I pull out all my hair.

Also, looking for any information as to where I could go for some coding near Mobile, AL.

I apologize if this is not the right location for my questions. I'm new to xoutpost, please forgive.

Try:
Cover wheel arch / footboard. Fits: 2011 BMW X Series (E53,E70,E71,E83) X5 35iX | BMW of South Atlanta

You should bookmark that site. Best prices at getbmwparts.com, but I like the south atlanta site better for looking

I don't have the running boards and I'm getting a lot of stone chips on the leading edge of the rear wheel arch and was thinking of getting them fitted to stop this happening. Pity were in different continents.

Thanks everyone. Ard, that is exactly what I'm looking for. THANK YOU. I know I "should" keep the running boards but as a military girl I can't take one more day of getting the wrath for dirty pant legs. That's why they must go!

Now to just get some pointers as to how I can have some coding done, near Mobile, AL.

Thanks All!

Oh, you should be able to find someone willing to PAY YOU for your boards (a nominal amount) and give you their 'non-running board trim pieces'... It seems they are sought after for some reason.

Coding, no idea.

I am military too and don't really understand how you are getting dirty pant legs, I know I don't. Lol. As for coding, I installed a hitch while I was stationed in Pcola for flight school and had sandy sansing BMW in Pcola do my coding. They were pretty reasonable, it was $107 for the hitch coding. What are you getting coded?

I am betting she is asking about "non standard" coding that BMW dealers wont do.

I'll also bet she is shorter than you.

Maybe/Maybe not . I am looking for non-standard coding. The main one I'm looking to get done is so that my doors will unlock upon parking. And a couple others.

I might be shorter than Olgunan but it couldn't be by much. I'm 5'10". I don't use the running boards...I step over them when getting out which causes my calf to run along the edge of the running board.
