Are TPMS sensors from a '10 production compatible with an '08 3.0?

I couldn't fit it all in the title. Really, my sister-in-law has a '08 3.0. She has the standard 255/55/18 RFT's all around. I found a set on another forum at a good price. They have the tires, rims, and sensors. Could this be a bolt on setup and the computer will recognize the new sensors?

So according to that, how far along in production does it have to be for it not to be compatible. The set is coming off of a 2010 3.5D with a 1/2010 prod date.
