Front dash protectant

What products do you guys recommend for protecting the front dash? I bought a Lexol kit based on some reviews I read for leather protectant, and it came with some Vinylex. Can I use that on the front dash?

All my previous cars had "shiny" dashes, but the x5 as you all know is different (flat). Should I be using something else?

I've always just left my dash alone in my current and in my previous '01 X5 I had for 9.5 years. And never had any issues with fading or the look of it. That "basketball pebble finish" of the dash is pretty durable.

I just use a damp cloth and it's fine. If it's dirt, I might add a dab or two of mild soap/detergent but it's pretty durable and intended to bear the brunt of sunlight over many years.

Does that 303 Aerospace thing have a smell? If so, what kind of smell? I don't want anything overly strong masking the smell of natural nappa.

I use it for all rubber and vinyl surfaces, including my RIB. It is great!
