I had Pirelli ATR's before and if the ice and snow are anything similar in capability and quality, I think they will ultimately end up on my "new" 209's. Thanks to everyone for their input! |

Sorry for the Hijack

I might be interested in your 210 setup. I've got a 50 M-Sport on order and need to verify that they will fit. Are the tires "All Season"? Last edited by BeamerandBimmer; 10-31-2012 at 08:00 PM. |

Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow Run Flats
I have the Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow run flats mounted on OEM 214s, 275s up front and 315s in the rear. I had them on for since last week and all I can say is that I luv the feel, grip, and handling characteristics of these. With All the crappy roads in NYC these tires seem to just eat up the road surface. To me its as if I have the Adaptive Drive option set in sport, but of course I dont. Here are pics for reference if you need.

For those who switch from 20" staggered (315/35 in the rear and 275/40 in the front) to 18" stock in the winter, does the X5 look funny with the extended wheel arches on it? Debating whether or not I will need the extended wheel arches to protect the sides of the X5, or if it will look funny with the factory arches that come with the X5 with 18's, since the tires will most likely stick out about an inch from the body. Won't know what it looks like aesthetically, until I put the 20's on in the spring.
Thanks |

Have had the Vredestein Wintracs for about 5 weeks now - love them! Big improvement over the Conti Run Flats! Only been in snow once - they were great but not enough snow for a full test.
Overall opinion: Nice handling & quiet Quote:

I have the 2013 X5 35 SA with the 275/40-20s and 315/35-20s in the rear. I wanted to stick with run flats, but didn't want skinny tires as I love the look of the 315s, so I went with a squared set of Pirelli Winter Carving 275/40-20 run flat snow tires on Niche M133 black wheels. I haven't received them yet, but will post a pick once they are on.

I have the same for winter setup. Haven't put my winter tires on yet; not cold enough.
