Have you had a chance to test drive both the 50i and 35d? Best to experience in person, but I don't think you'll be disappointed paying a bit more for the 50i M-sport. Great exhaust note (different from standard 50i) and plenty of power.

I drive a lot also, and have the 35d. I'll admit, it's nice to be able to go almost 600 miles on a tank of fuel. I remember with my old 06 3.0 I was thrilled to break 400 on a tank. It's even nicer when the price of diesel is less than premium, which I see a lot in PA and NJ.
Not sure if it's relevant, but no heated steering wheel in the M-sport in 2011. I think it's back in the current models. But paying $5k more upfront for a vehicle with an extra 20k miles...shorter cpo warranty time (assuming that's what you're getting). 12 X5 35d 12 FX35
