M Performance Pkg on 35i...

Does anyone here have tried 35i with M sport and M performance package ? I know it adds extra 15 horsies, but wonder if they are noticeable and impact consumption in any significant way...

I see you have a 35d, the 35i would not have as much torque as the diesel and fuel economy would be alot worse also!

Your 35d is a far better X5 than the 35i model

I know, but was just looking into various options as "renewal time" (aka lease end) is not very far out, and I might need to get a replacement before nextgen X5 will be available...

Get another 35d, then wait until the next gen X5 has been out for 12 months. Every April & Sept BMW do minor changes and this will be no exception for the new model.

I had the first model E70 in 2007, gave it back to BMW and got the 2008 model which was a far better model, all the kinks had been worked out.

Yeah, that is what I think I might end up doing (hoping the $4500 eco credit will be available in 4-5 months!)... Then in 3 years I will likely to catch up the LCI of the nextgen, or just prior to LCI - meaning quality issues will be worked out.

I had 2008 X5 4.8i, it had "some issues" - some mechanical, some battery-related... The 2011 X5 35d is by far more reliable (so far, knock on wood).
