AD out weighs any disadvantage that the extra weight may cause, in my lastest X5 I dropped the third row seats as I never use them.

If your worried about weight & performance drop back to 19" wheels or even 18", it take alot more power to drive 20" wheels.

I didn't say I was worried about weight and performance. I just asked a simple question: doe is it add a lot of weight? Do you know how much weight AD adds?

It would not be anymore than 9-15lbs, the shocks are alittle heavier, the swaybars being electronic/hydraulic would weigh 2-4lbs more each, plus wiring, sensors etc.

BMW uses alot of aloys in the X5 rather than steel components, if you get the M-Sport version the plastic side skirts and front & rear bumpers are lighter than the standard model ones.

Are you getting a V8 or diesel model?
