My father drives a 150k cayenne turbo s, my mother a Maserati Quattroporte. That is only 2 cars out of 10 in our family stable alone so I say to you again, I am not one of those people that WANTS to make believe I have an x 5 m. I love the 50i and I budgeted myself just right at 75k for a nice spring/summer daily driver. I am not looking to be something that I am not. Lol
I agree completely with u
And ur fans vehicles are the best if the best
Drove a quattroporte a yr ago and I'm still grinning

The 5.0 is a spectacular vehichle and a nicely sporty yet understated vehichle
I as well set a budget
Even less than u did
I'm going for cpo
Let the guy before me get hit with the depreciation ..lol

I probably made my post confusing mentioning the Mfest stuff
Certainly wasn't coming at u
I gotta stay on track next time and keep to the point
ADD not AD lol
Cheers rob
Ps
Ur gonna love the msport

Pss have we sold u on The Adaptive drive yet?

It truly transforms the x5 more in my opinion than the performance package
Cheers rob

It's funny you say that. I am still grinning since the first and only time I drove around the Maserati. Amazing amazing car. My pops cayenne turbo s btw is just such a completely different animal. I love that car! Lol I tried to make him an offer on it this year but he wouldn't accept. Haha I offered him the cash from the 4.6is private sale which is 15 plus 10 grand cash plus I would finance 50 through chase. Of course he vehemently denied! I think he laughed in my face. He says it is his ultimate favorite car he has ever owned. I agree. First and second gear are a little sluggish, but for good reason . Once it hits mid second gear and beginning of third the turbos go full blast and sound like a 747 and it just whips you to the seat, I have a grin on my face just thinking about it. Unfortunately I can't afford anywhere near the price range. Fully loaded I heard the new ones can go over 160k now. In friggin sane! I test drove a 50i 2012 and the different between the Porsches 530hp (520 or 530 I don't remember) and the 400 HP stock of the 50i is pretty darn close in the first 2 gears. Heck I think the x5 actually jumps off the line quicker than my dads Porsche. But once you hit 3rd gear I I think the Porsche would walk th Beemer 10 car lengths. Lol
Nice chatting with you brother. Cheers.

Ps- what are you getting exactly? Are you buying a CPO x5 50i?
Also one last question. A local ny member approached me about taking over his 800 per month lease from him. Do you guys have any experience with swapping leases?
I was thinking it might be something cool for me to do to test out the vehicle for 2 years left on the guys lease and than buy something new after the lease expires. I have never been approached about anything like this before. What are your thoughts on this man?

Why do so many of you love the adaptive drive so much?
Today I added on premium package 2 and I decided to go with the m performance package after all. If I got for adaptiv drive it will put me over my budget. What is so special about it? Sell me on it! Hha

Drive one with AD on a twisty road, you will feel the difference when you push the "Sports" button, AD not only gives you electronic/hydraulic swaybars but EDC shocks as well.

I have owned four X5's and all have had AD!

Thanks. Does it add a lot of weight to the car?

AD out weighs any disadvantage that the extra weight may cause, in my lastest X5 I dropped the third row seats as I never use them.

If your worried about weight & performance drop back to 19" wheels or even 18", it take alot more power to drive 20" wheels.

And you also have to let go some MPG on the way...
But for me, looks won over sense.

Yeah there is no way I would ever drop the 20s
The meaty 20" premium rear and slightly skinmier front tires , not to mention gorgeous wheels have won me over way back in 2002 on my style 287 4.6is and they won me over again on this new build with the style 333m.
