Keys stolen Can I remove from memory?

My spare key to the x5 got stolen. Is there anyway to deprogram the key? Essentially just only reprogram the one I still have?
Thanks

So BMW wants $1800 to change the keys. I'm going to an Indy $50 to reprogram just the key we still have. Then I'll get a lock delete for the door. Anybody ever had the lock system fail. Kinda worried what could happen now that I'm removing the manual keyed lock.

I would make sure you get a spare remote key just in case your key batteries die. I am sure worst case scenario is your car battery dies and you can't get into you car... But I know quite a few people on here rock the key delete so I assume it is not a big issue.

The physical key can still open your door after your car has been reprogrammed. It's something to think about.

That's why I'm thinking of the key delete. But then again maybe I do nothing and if they take it the cops can track them down via the GPS
