Can reset service reminder for brake pads...help.

Can reset service reminder for brake pads...help.

I followed the steps found on youtube BMW E70 E71 reset service light How to DIY: BMTroubleU - YouTubeto reset the service interval on my E70 4.8is.

When I hold reset for the rear brakes is shows "reset?"...I press and hold again and it shows "----" for mileage and doesn't reset. My NAV screen still shows that the pads need to be replaced.

I re-used the sensor because I didn't damage it when it came out...do I HAVE to replace the sensor?
