Need advice...
Bottom Line: BMW dealer had a newbie doing my Tire swap from summer to winter tires. Dumb @ss put my X5 staggered rear tires and factory rims on both left sided mounts. He drove it around and I'm left with a sheared rear rim (315) from rubbing on the upper control arm.
The Service Advisor apologized and offered to paint it ! I was like, No, it's a 2011 factory Y-Spoke rim that is load-bearing, so he's gonna replace that one. The upper control arm appeared intact without any visible scratch or damage. So my question is should I be concerned about anything else ? I'm just shocked the kid could not tell the old set was staggered or bother to read the tires (275 front) and 315 rears ?! Are there only two models that come staggered in 20's ? X5 and M5 or M6 ? Thanks PS If I could do it all over again, I would have gone to a non-staggered All-Season set-up, less PITA! |
