Looking at buying a X5 35d, had a couple of quick questions.

Hey guys ...

Was looking at picking up a CPO X5 35d, most likely a 2011 or 2012, and was wondering if anyone had a link to the options available those years?

Also I noticed the X5 can look a bit different, M-Sport, Sport, ect. Can anyone tell me if you could get the 35d in Sport or M Sport?

Also are there any must have options? In the past I have owned a 335i, 535i, and no currently driving a E90 M3, so I fairly familiar with the packages BMW offers, but they vary from model to model (ie it looks like all X5s get the nav style screen even if they dont have the nav option.... correct?)

Go to BMWConfig.com BmwConfig.com | Build your own BMW
It will allow you to see all the available options for the 2011 and 2012 model years.

When it comes to must-have options, my two X5's have the following:
- Adaptive drive
- Multi-contour seats
- Cold weather pkg (for the heated steering wheel)
- Space saver spare

Premium Package and cold weather were on my list for sure. I also got the Premium Sound which I like, and space saver spare, running boards...

I just recently drove a new 328i that had HUD and I really like it with the NAV...if you get a 2011 make sure you get a later build for all the LCI changes. My 10/2010 build missed some of it. I would have liked comfort access and possibly the nicer seats.

Comfort Access (once you get it you can never have a BMW without it)

Around view park cameras

3rd row (even if you never will use the 3rd row, it gets you the auto level suspension which for me is a must have)

2012 models can get the BMW connected drive (6NR) with BMW apps. AFAIK, 35d's don't come in M-Sport, they do come in Sport package. 2012's also come with LED angel eyes

my must haves: Sport package, comfort, technology, parking cameras, multi-contour seats, CIC Nav, BMW Apps 6NR

nice to haves: side cameras, HUD
