Just to comment on the overall quality of the interior. With the following issues on a car after 2 or three years I would say the quality of the interior is very substandard for a car of this price:
- Light switch worn away after 2 years - Bubbling trim on steering wheel around buttons after 2 years - Glove box trim is curling up and reventing the glove box from opening - Rear vent control trim area showing heavy wear with minor usage. - 3rd rpw seatbelt clips broken multiple times.

My 2010 was lemoned at 23 months, with 32k miles and was pristine. Interior and exterior 'as new'.
I'm going to posit that interior wear is a function of care. Also, will people stop referring to "RFT" as if it is a single tire????? Michelin Latitude RFTs are far superior to all other RFTs, and with 18-19" rims I read few complaints |

Then again, I don't expect it to handle and feel like my M3 either.I also haven't noticed many squeaks or rattles in the few months we have had the vehicle. Overall, I feel the interior is pretty nice. Wish ours had the extended leather dash though. I do agree with Noodle though that it seems BMW always has quality issues with some of their interior trim pieces and the e70 is no exception.

Creaks out the ass from my 2012. From the rear seats from the bin under the rear AC controls, from both B-pillars, any silver aluminum accent trim under the wood, from the driver's door handle/pit when touched. Paid 70k for my near-fully loaded diesel, and it's crap to the max.
Contrary to other users, my car creaks more in hot weather. Semi-quiet in cold. This is definitely the last BMW I'm getting, seeing as how their prices are the highest vs the competition, sporty driving is gone (see: electric steering), styling is going downhill, and quality is a joke.

I had few spontaneous cracks on plastic trim which was replaced under warranty. D pillar plastic trim are very noisy most of the time regardless of the weather.
