Overall quality of the interior!
Ill be honest there a bunch of creaks i my X. I personally thing they used to much plastic combined with leather and then plastic dont mix well.
even with nothing in the cup holder it rattle... when i have my knee against the drivers door it creaks... backdoors creak! i know its not a bentley but better fitment of parts and overall better material could have been used! Anyone else think so? Cheers Rob ps thank god that exhasut roar drowns out mostly every concevable noise:rofl: |
The only time my 2008 E70 creaked or rattled was in the cold weather. I called them the cold weather creaks. As soon as the temperature hits 30 or so the creaks would start. Warm weather all was quiet.
It was the the same with my 2010 X6 and my current 2013. :dunno: |
Check your tire pressure and also tire tread/balance.

What year is your X?

yep, cold weather does bring the creaks.
Experiencing 27-32F weather these days in Seattle (rather unusual for this area). Also noticed my x5 is the only vehicle that does not get any ice on windows and body in the morning. 3 other vehicles in driveway are completely white in the morning (fog overnight + freezing temp). Not the x5. It somehow stays completely clear. Kinda weird. |

Seattle - kind funny you say that I noticed that here too! I kept my car outside the other night and it was not frosted over like the other cars. Strange.
COLD WEATHER - will bring the creaks in the best of cars. |
