I love my Toyos, the thread is amazing! The ride is so smooth and super quiet compared to my previous RFTs...
And for $910 for the whole set in 20" installed I can't see any better deal!

Yes. I loved my toyos. They lasted about 30k miles. The last 6-7k started getting noisy though.

Hmmm. I don't know if I've heard anyone say that they love their RFT. There's been a number, like me, that have chosen to stay with RFT even though we know it's likely be a harsher ride and possibly noisier. (Maybe I've not been bothered by any noise because my car windows are pretty much always closed?). We're accepting those compromises.

I'm not going to go into the reasons that people say that they staying with RFT; that's been covered.

I really like my Michelin run flat tires on my X5 35D. I save my love for humans not things like tires. I also like the storage space not having a spare allows (I don't have third row seating. It has probably been over 25 years since I used a spare tire anyway.

I am going off my memory here, but there were threads like that for sure. I will find a couple threads when I have time.
All true, I switched to DWS and enjoyed the improved ride but the annoying vibration was difficult to get rid off. After 4th balance dealer told me the wheel was bent, I bought a new wheel just to find out nothing was wrong with the wheel. Took the car in again and asked them to look at control arms, they were fine. They ended up balancing the car for the 5th time and now it is much better

I am also considering switching to the DWS. I'm new to BMW in general as well as having wider rear wheels then front wheels, I'm assuming since you cannot rotate these tires they will not last as long? Living in the Northeast the RFT suck in snow and was hoping to get all season but wondering if I am wasting money if I cannot rotate them will they just wear much faster.

If you ever have issues with wheel vibration, take it to a place that uses a hunter road force balancing machine, so they can properly try to balance it or determine what is wrong with the wheel. That's the only way I have my wheels balanced.

I have the bridgestone now and in the last two snow storms they were very bad. I slid on two occasions and almost crashed on one.

If I were to go with the DWS with different size front and rears would they have a much shorter life span?

You have the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport (which are Summer tires) and you drive those in a snow storm? You're either very brave or you need to do a little research.

Those tires should not be used below 40 degrees and are absolutely useless in the snow. They are not for use in the cold. That's why I change mine to Pirelli Ice & Snow RFT for the winter.

All seasons are fine for most people. And I wouldn't worry about not being able to rotate the wheels. I have seen no reason to rotate mine at all; they wear evenly.
