2010 x 5 4.8 ipod adapter interface...post 3

My 2010 X5 SUV (built 3.10) came with a USB port in the glovebox and only a mini plug in the central console...(no USB port in the center console).

I need to have access to my ipod through the idrive system. My dealer is unsure what's going on.

Can I use the ipod adapter interface from BMW or something else from BMW to accomplish this? Or do I have to go aftermarket to get this worked out.

I want to fully interface w/iDrive.

This was my post 3 concerning my 2010 4.8.

Thanks for youtr patience w/ this....just need to figure these things out.
