Hitch install facia issue

I just put the hitch on and re-installed everything and now the bumper cover has 2 bumps on the top that i'm pretty sure don't belong...
before I take it apart again does anyone know if I screwed something up or is it just that way after adding the hitch.

No, that is not correct. The bumper is not correctly aligned. It should sit flat.

I took it apart and found that there is two plastic pieces under the bumper that bow up slightly when the hitch is installed, they connect to the center plastic that holds the 4 push in clips on the top... I just removed them as they don't look like they hold anything together and now it sits flush..

I have the same issue with my bumper (have the same hitch installed). Do you think it's possible to remove those 2 plastic pieces you mentioned without having to take off the entire bumper?

Doesn't look like you had to trim the fascia? If you did, do you have a photo?

Thanks

Dave

I did have to trim the underside of the facia, 8"x2" but you cannot see it unless you are under the vehicle. I'll post a pic tomorrow.
