Last week after sitting and waiting to pick someone up I decided to get gas right up the road to pass some time. As I pulled away, caution lights started to come on. First was the ABS, DTC, and 4x4 light. As I continued on, the transmission light lit up, the auto leveling warning came on, and would not go into park, acceleration was also sluggish. I shut it off and then would not turn back over. I asked a guy for a jump and it started right up, with no lights besides the ones associated with low battery and then they went off once I started driving. No symptoms since, until today. Wife dropped me off at the airport and the damn thing did it again and she had to limp it home.
It's a 2007 X5 4.8i with 75k on it still under CPO. I just replaced the battery in Jan of this year. It is just odd to me that after a jump, it was fine. Seems like a short, bad connection somewhere, or the battery again. Anyone else experience this? Going to get it to the dealer but that is more complicated than it seems since the nearest is 320 miles from me. Thank you BMW assistance!
