I painted both mesh grilles and replaced kidneys with OEM performance grille... If you already have black... You are saving a ton of work ![]() I Have considered it, but decided against it. To me black wheels don't have any detail. I think it just comes down to you like black wheels or you don't ....

I've done the halos, getting tinted later in the week and about to do the grill - also thinking about blacking out the badges, to go along with the rim change - I'm keeping my original 210 plasti dipped in black for the winter, and getting the 214 style, with which I'm on the fence - go the dark gray route, or plasti dip in black too... Your reflectors got me interested, but at over $110 on Bimmian, sounds like a bit much - will see what other routes are available. |

Hey guys, this is what I did with my X5, I know, its kinda ghetto,
but I think that it makes the lines pretty well... Black X5 sign and the black trim on the lights. This was done with PlasiDip, so I can take it off when ever I want. anil.

Ghetto, but you helped me decide - I will black out the X5 and the 3.0xDrive business

I left the X5 sign on the car and masked off the area. Few coats and presto! Blacked out sign, after it dries, slowly peel away access plastidip, remember the more coats of spray, the easier the plastidip will come off.
I need to redo my lights. I was quoted $100 for the white to be blacked out by a tint company so I figured that plastidip to the rescue. Let me know how it goes, remember, 100% reversible. Anil.
