Visors are vinyl. Did the shop turn off the interior lights by holding the button down for 5 secs or so? If so, a simple push of the main button should get them working normally again. I recently replaced the drivers side visor on my '08 and the airbag label is different (updated part number) than the original so now it doesn't match the passenger side...doh!
