Expensive but there are other ways of doing it.

I did my 335i for $50.

The maps are available for download - you can then load them into the car. You just need to find an 'entrepreneur' who will provide an unlock code based on your VIN.

If you search around the E90Post forum for such things, you may find such a person

i am not interested in bootleg or pirated software. i have the 2013 map flash drive if anyone would like to buy it but you would have to get your own serial number...

Its not bootlegged or pirated. It's what you have on your flashdrive. Getting the serial number is what I am talking about.

I think it's overpriced at $245 per upgrade.
I get a 1 year upgrade for Tom Tom for $75, and it's a much better nav system.

the same could be said about bmw vehicles but the navigation upgrade pricing is in line with other german marques.

i dont care for tom tom or other devices that mount to the dash or windshield. it's ugly and ruins the interior with clutter and wires. (IMO)

Seem too good to be true, but the seller has 100% feedback rate

This would be for DVD based nav systems (CCC??).

Post 2009 models use a hard drive based unit (CIC??).

It's likely a copy but I see no reason why it wouldn't work.

Yes it's for the 07-09 DVD based nav's (kinda old school with east and west separate disks but oh well lol). Thanks for your input, I was the guy who bid minimum and got it. I figured with all the positive reviews and that dirt cheap price, it couldnt hurt to try it. I'll keep you guys posted on how it is.
