Question Remote Unlock and Trunk Latch

Hello everyone,

I have searched my hind end off and can't find anything related so I wanted to shoot out a question.

Anyone have issues with their X not remote locking and unlocking until you open and close the trunk? This problem comes and goes for me and is not conditional to moisture or temperature it seems. I'm baffled....

Key seems fine, I have to admit I have not had a chance to duplicate with my spare so I need to do that but at least wanted to community source the issue.

Have a great Wednesday all!

Update, shut your trunk pretty hard out of frustration and the issue goes away for at least a few days. So far this is a one time workaround

naturally, check the connectors in the trunk latching mechanism, both the top and the bottom, that latches the sides of the bottom gate...

when you drive off, do you get a message that the tailgate is open? do inside lights stay on?

No, which is the strangest thing too.

More info, the problem does not show up now that I disconnected my iPod adapter which had one of those 30 pin Bluetooth streaming audio receivers attached so I could stream music from my Android.

This problem did not happen until I recently had the USB port replaced in my X. Thinking there is a power drain now when I leave the item plugged in where there was not before.
