Carbon fiber question

for those of you that have used this tape, i am thinking of wrapping the plastic on the steering wheel around the buttons since i have peeling paint currently. my question is, is the carbon fiber product thin enough to wrap into the holes where the buttons are or will the tape interfere with their operation since its a pretty small gap between the pastil and the buttons

hmm, surprised no one has responded to this. with all the peeling issues, has anyone attempted this or another alternative? I have seen the other threads on the subject. i am thinking about removing the airbag/horn and then the peeling pieces to clean them up and fix them. can i assume i must disconnect the battery before removing the airbag? certainly don't want it to release!

Are you talking about vinyl or carbon fiber?

That is not carbon fiber, that should however work.
