Need Help Finding Part

This is frustrating.

I'm looking for a part that Real OEM doesn't show well. I've already ordered what I thought was the most likely match, but I was wrong.

I've attached a photo of with the part circled and the diagram from Real OEM for context with the corresponding screw circled.

It is the clip on the underbody panel to which four screws from the underside of the front bumper cover attach.

The part I tried which is not correct is 51718212163.

Thanks for any help.

Have you tried calling the parts guy at the dealer? They have a lot more experience navigating the BMW parts system and finding parts for the technicians.

That photo shows a 'threaded nut' that clips onto a piece of plastic or metal. Looks like #8 on Realoem, HOWEVER there can be two kinds of threads- the one that is for a normal screw, and the other kind that has a 'quick release' type of thread, ie one revolution of the driver and it is all the way out.

Agree for this stuff, just swing by the dealer.

That's who sold me the wrong part. I guess I could go back and try again. Just don't want to waste another trip.

It is the quick release thread.

According to your RealOEM diagram, parts #4 and #5 go together, one is the quick release screw and the other one is the circle clip.
You already have the cicle clip, you need the quick release screw p/n 07147177492
What vehicle are we talking about?
Call your dealer and confirm this info, I'm just guessing.
Good luck

Thanks for the tip. When I googled the part, the images were of a washer or of the incorrect part that I have. I'll go and grill the dealer until we get it right!

Thanks, but those are definitely not what I need. I've replaced the entire front bumper cover so I'm familiar with 8 and 9.
