e70 ecu software

Hello All,

Does anyone know of different companies that offer Software for the n62 engines in the x5?

I found some renntech but only for diesel and the 5.0 engine.
What about the 4.8l n62.

Happy New Year, and thank you in advance for the information.

They are local to me and did my diesel tune and planning an X5M tune soon. If your not local I think you have to send your ECU in. I know they can do X5Ms with a handheld tuner but not sure about others.

It's one of the best tuning shops I have ever worked with, but gains for your unit don't look great...
Tell them Gord sent you, I spend a lot of money there so they will take care of you.

What are you looking for in a tune? HP? Removal of speed limiter?

I think you do have to send the ECU in, only the X5M mentioned a hand held programer.

I am defiantly interested in more power and fast, that is, hp and tq.

The issue I see is that no one offers 4.8 liter software for the e70 with n62 engine.

Has anyone done this?

(in my a4 I am running bigger turbo, injectors and racing software)

With a naturally aspirated engine like the n62, there is little additional power to be had. You shouldn't expect any aftermarket tune to meet those expectations. You may get a slightly different throttle response, or the removal of a top speed limiter.

No one Gains seem minimal as with most NA engines but it's an option. My co-worker had his BA Audi Q7 tuned by ECUProgramer and he was very happy with the results. He said the throttle response was much better and the power under the curve really changed the feel in traffic.

gregg3gs,

I got the ESS E-Flash tune. I can't say it makes a huge difference but it feels like it might have . They did make it more "aggressive" for me after I asked for that.
