Bluetooth connection
I have a 2013 diesel and have had the following problem 3 times now. I have an iPhone 5 and I can successfully connect my phone and sync my contacts. After some period of time (maybe a month or two), the phone will connect to make or receive a call but I get a message on the screen that says to connect via Bluetooth and that it's not connected. And then it will no longer download my contacts. Twice now BMW replaced the same part can't recall the specific part but it was some communication box and after that, it's fine for another coulpe months until it blows me out again.
Once it blows me out, I can't connect any other phones either such as my wife's iPhone 4. The tech has confirmed that his phone won't connect either. They are currently searching for an issue/problem but nothing yet. Anyone have a similar issue? Thanks, Vince |

iPhone
I'm running with an iPhone 4S with iOS 7.0.4, no problems with my 2013 X5 xDrive 35i.
Make sure your car's software is up to date. Go to www.bmw.usa/update and obtain the latest updates. |
