2008 BMW X5 4.8i

Hello,

I looked at a 2008 BMW X5 4.8i Sport Premium package in Alberta but it does not come with the spare tire? The dealer asking price is 32400.00 and the mileage of the car is 67,000 KM.

Is the price Okay and the model and year is a good car?
How much is the spare tire cost?

Sorry that I am new to BMW.

way overpriced! 2008 model year with that mileage is worth $25,000 max.

In Toronto, you are looking at something between $25-30 plus tax with those kms

41k miles with sports and premium for $32k is a reasonable list price. You can knock a few grand off that but dont hold your breath for $25k.

I went to get new tires a few months ago. I was bummed that that were pretty spendy but decided what the heck as I like to hit it pretty hard and thus need good grip. I agreed to the price and then got the call back AFTER they were done saying "we shouldn't have sold you these, you need run flats, you don't have a spare". Then "you can risk it if you carry a puncture kit and a can of run flat". Being kind of risk averse I said, "even though they cost 2x the regular tires I am willing to do it but I vaguely recall having a spare back there, will you check first?" Sure enough I have a spare, jack, etc. I don't get it, some have spare, some don't.

Joe 2008 4.8 (with newish tires and spare). I paid 32k$ in October 2012 and it had 46K miles on it CPO.

And while it all sounds like an acceptable risk, I recently ended up on a tow truck, having to find a taxi to pick my wife and kids up from the highway - all thanks to a massive pothole and no spare tire (I replaced my runflats with regular tires, a year ago).

The 2008 x5 Sport Package came out with run flats and no spare. Some of the other model did come out with spare tires, and that is where I've sourced my.
The x5M does not come with spare and does not come with run flats.

Worst case scenario. You get a flat and need to get towed. In most cases it's still less then a set of run flats.

When you are buying the truck from a dealer, sometimes you can get them to move the spare from another truck (just to makes a sale).
