If a car costs $60k when new, when its value drops to $15k the cost to repair is still a "$60k car".
Unless you can afford the occasional $1000 repair, and the catastrophic $7k repair, you better be a good DIYer. Yes, get it inspected (asking that tells me you are NOT a DIYer) but they cannot inspect for 'what will fail in 2 months'...
