warranty pricing

I am trying to see what the extended warranty (6 yr/100K) and scheduled maintenance from BMW might cost as I am talking to my local dealer and the warranty number seemed high - approx $6K.

I have a 2013 X5 35d

I've done a search of the forum, but didn't see a good basis to conclude. If you purchased the factory extended warranty(6 yr/100K) and scheduled maintenance, what did you pay and what dealership?

wait until 3 years 11 months or 49k miles...then buy. Not now.

This is not I'm thinking about a warranty thread/question. It's a dispute resolution so having real pricing data will allow me to understand better.

Then I am entirely confused.

There is no MSRP. It is only "what the dealer can get away with charging you"...so not sure what dispute can be resolved.

If you already bought it, you can return the warranty. The maintenance plan cannot be returned.

For what its worth, my 3rd party warranty (United Car Care) was about $5500 for 3 years bumper to bumper. Hope that helps give a frame of reference.
