You people let your significant others drive your vehicle?

Never again! Two months old, and that's why I can't have nice things.

She says it gives the car character. She didn't even offer to have it fixed, even if I'm probably going to be paying for the repairs ultimately. All in all, I'm not in the best of moods today.

I'd like to see you cook an omelet using her kitchen utencils and put a nick on the Teflon surface with a knife when you flip the eggs... and then tell her: it gives the frying pan CHARACTER!!! and just walk away...

That's the problem, separate bank accounts, budgets, property. I am assuming you and your significant other are married.
If my wife breaks something on the car, she knows it's coming out of OUR bank account. There's no "you pay, I pay". But that's just me..

There are many stories on this board when a perfectly good ride ends up in the tiny hands and get mauled - my favorite was when a fellow got a phone call from his girlfriend saying the HIS car had some problems and that he better come and fix it... when he showed up to a blown tire that was driven like that for some time, he saw her eating chicken IN the car!!! lol... that story is in that HUGE thread with a million pages - nobody can find it now!!!

Yes... It's why I purchased an X5M otherwise I would've just bought an M5.

If you are going to complain about everyday wear and tear on the vehicle why did you buy this vehicle? a Honda Pilot or MDX would've been a better deal as an everyday SUV.

Pretty condescending, iconoclast.

I was sleepy from medication so we swapped seats. I was jostled out of my nap from a bang on an on-ramp entering the freeway. All I got was an, "ooooops, sorry"

I did own an M5 and I took good care of it. "Everyday wear and tear" was the pitted shadow chrome paint. After 11 years of driving I did not have any curb rash.

Sorry dude, I don't throw money around like some people do. Come to think of it, even if it was an MDX and someone curbed my new wheels, I'd still b****. It doesn't matter how much a car costs.

My comment was not supposed to be condescending... The point was no point getting upset over everyday wear and tear on a daily driver. This is easily repaired and does not cost a great deal of money.

Outside of an apology, what were you expecting her to do? Either way I think it's much ado about nothing.
