Engine / Coolant Temp

Any idea what the is the "normal" temperature operating range for coolant is on a 50i X5 ? I've been monitoring the temp in the hidden menu and I am wondering what is normal.

Hidden menu link

Found this...

Here's the link. Works on both E70 and E90. Should work on many others too.

Remember to add up last 5 digits of VIN, not all digits, for the unlock code.

I installed the p3 vent gauge a couple of months ago to check my boost psi after i did the Velos tune. My coolant temperature is usually around 220 deg Fahrenheit.

Mine's in the same range--215-220 fairly steadily.

How do you like the gauge so far? Can you keep it on the temp setting while driving? Does it reset after every restart and do you have to scroll thru the readings when restarting to display the desired display? For $400 I want to make sure it meets my expectations. (Pros & Cons)

I know I love mine. It retains the last display it was at when the vehicle was shut off, and stays on that until you select another one. It's not inexpensive, but so far I find it to be worth the money.

I like it, but don't want to lose a center vent, even if it was on the Right side vent I might consider it, but on the left one, I just can't do it..

On the E70, you only lose 1/2 of the top left vent, and you retain the directional vanes on the remaining half, so can angle it to still clear the driver's window.

105 Celsius is the norm. I found out that my intercooler heat exchanger was damaged
