I think its just the reflection of the sun. The inner ring is still way brighter than the outer and as soon as you aren't looking dead on, the rings get washed out with any of these vendor supplied H8 bulbs. Its the design of the pre LCI headlights.

Good luck trying to convince yourself that it looks anything like the LCI headlights.

It may be possible to come close to the OEM (corona) look by increasing the brightness. But that inner ring will completely fill. Anyone willing to try take the headlight apart and put a black cap over the inner ring? That will allow for much brighter bulbs without filling in the inner ring.
