I ended up going ahead and taking it back to the dealer to have them fix their half assed work... Glad to know a good bit more about how the system works now however. When we get it back I'll post up a short video on how it all works, OEM integration included.

It's kinda cool actually. If you didn't know the aftermarket system was there, and how to access it, you might never see it. Minus the navigation button . Everything else works as it would OEM.
