Beautiful x5! Makes me miss the east end also!

Any trouble with fitment on covers as I would like to order also, but unsure if would fit 4.8 calipers?

Thank you! -- no trouble with fitment, actually I was able to get them on without even taking the rims off and they have been zero trouble with the 200 miles or so I have driven with them on thus far. I think the calipers would fit the 4.8, if not the same caliper I have, I'm sure MGP makes them as well in different fitment for the 4.8.

(I realize I have to use a tool to tighten the bolts, not just my hands as that was all I was able with the rims still in place, but so far they have been holding up perfectly, I regularly check the bolts, and will have them manually tightened when I bring the car in to get powder coated, as the bolts are way overtightened by the BMW tech)

You'd probably never know unless I said it but these pictures were actually taken in the north shore of Nassau, at The Creek Club and a few Bayville/Centre Island Beaches. Now that I give it a second look , it resembles the east end to a tee.

UPDATE**

Update to this current "build thread" of mine:

Current Mods:

2012 X5 35i Sport Activity Alpine White/Black

-BMW Performance Black Gloss Grille
-Carbon Fiber Wrap - All Interior Trim
-Bimmian Roundel Overlays (White/SilverCarbon Fiber look)
-18% tint all around - On top of factory tint
-3M taillight tint
-"Golf-tee" Exhaust Mod
-20" 214's powder coated black
-Brand new Continental DWS Non-RFT (Much nicer ride)
-True Carbon Fiber eyelids
-LED error-free white illumination turn signals

Removed since last post:
MGP Red brake caliper covers (Pretty bad call on my part)
Black gloss mirror wrap (Hated it, peeled constantly)

Current Future Ideas:
LED fog light upgrade
All Black BMW Roundels (CANT FIND THEM ANYWHERE)
Complete audio system OVERHAUL (current: HiFi system)
Paint-matched reflectors front/tinted in the rear to match taillights
Spacers (ideas???)
\\\ Stripes for grille (German flag or M colors -- just to show a hint of BMW Performance)

Aero-Kit possibly -- (I'm a college student though so the $2000 w/ installation isn't going to happen, possibly looking into getting the eBay version for $579 and having a local body shop (friend) paint the alpine white)

I think the only people that would recognize the "sportyness" of red calipers are the same people that would recognize that they are only caliper covers.

It's kinda like the whole M badge on a not M car thing.

Thats what I was thinking, but I wasn't going to say anything not nice.

They are long gone not to worry. And won't be making an appearance ever again either. Bad move.

Beautiful job! You should send some of those pics to Bavarian Auto and shoot for a $100 gift card! =)
