Alpinerunner is on a distinguished road
New Owner here - 2012 x35D

Picked up a 2012 CPO'd X35D a few days ago and it's amazing! I had to drive from CT to Maryland to get the color that my wife wanted (blue) and the motor that I wanted (diesel) and it turned out to have many more options than I was looking for. As far as I can tell it's fully loaded: sport package with adaptive drive, cold weather, technology package, 3rd row with self leveling rear suspension, premium, and premium sound. On the drive home it got 27mpg!

I've done tons of reading here... lots of great info! The first few mods I'm looking at are tint-matching the front windows, a trailer hitch, the JBD module, and adding running board.

A few questions: Is the OEM hitch the way to go? Is it integrated will with the LCI bumper? Can the aluminum running boards be added easily? I've seen a few people getting rid of them, but no threads about retrofit. Why don't people like them? Lastly, I've read that the Urea system lasts about 9k miles. Is that true?
