Warning lights

Hi folks,

before problem descrption please excuse my English :-)

I bought BMW X5 E70 4.8i two months ago, so I`m not familier with manul or basic controls at all.

Few days ago engine control lighted up so the car has been taken to car-repair shop when we got the error number witch is Po442 and becase it should be "just" small EVAP leak we decided to delete the error.

I was introduced that for correct light deletion is needed to trun on all dash lights and let them light but the funniest thing is i did know how to do that.

Could you please help ?
