I'd schedule an appt and ask that they pull codes and report any stored codes. They will probably ALSO run a test plan and look for anything out of spec. The CEL should never turn on NO MATTER YOUR DRIVING STYLE. I wouldnt explain how you were driving it lest they seize on that as somehow related. Also, if they say "if the light isnt on, no need to bring it in", insist that the DDE will trap the codes (and the engine parameters when this happened) and you want these scanned as it is not normal.
