VANOS Bolt Recall (3.5)

I am curious if anyone has had their dealer receive the updated bolts in order to do this recall. BMW's recall website is still showing as "remedy not yet available".

I was going to bring my X6 in for the recall as I saw the campaign date of June 2014, however it appears parts are not available yet.

FYI, this affects the N55 3.5 engine only, which I believe is 2011 and up. At some point in 2012 manufacturing they fixed the issue, so some 2012s may not be affected.

Chris

I got a letter regarding the recall and it stated that the parts were not available and advised to wait.
But last September, I just contacted my local dealer and asked. And they just told me "Bring it in", so I did.

I had the Vanos bolt recall performed on my N55 335i about three weeks ago at Nalley BMW in Atlanta. They had already done several, so I assume at least some dealers have had the parts available for a month or two.

Got mine done from the dealer last month, although they didn't notify me that they have the replacement bolts, I was there for an oil change.

Thank you guys - its good to know parts are available. Sounds like BMW is letting dealers manage the recall on their own. I'll get it in.
