low speed brake grinding noise

I have 26k on a 2013 x5 just had oil change where they did a bunch of stuff including brake fluid! also rear brakes were done 2000 miles earlier!

the noise does not occur at every stop just slow stops i.e. coming to a stop at a busy stop sign with light pressure on brake peddle! the noise can be felt in the steering wheel also!

I even took the service tech for a ride and it did not do it!!

anyone else ever have this?

havent picked up the car yet but spoke to the SA and unless he's confused or i misunderstood they ended up replacing brakes. dont know which ones and how much meaning just pads or the full set with rotors but you may have to do the same. Thanks G-d for the included maintenance for the next few years is all i can say. shame though how nice these cars are and how many issues they have.

That is why they have issues, because they are complicated. If BMW took 5 or 7 years to perfect a certain model no one will buy it because it will be out of date and terribly overpriced. But as a matter of fact the last years of any model are pretty much trouble free.
Take older Lexus or Acura, they are stripped as a Toyota Echo and not much fun to drive, but reliable.Newer models of those brands are much more complicated and if you think they dont have their problems you are deeply mistaken.

Mine is not grinding, however, it is making that noise like the sensor is hitting the rotors (i'm not sure if these even have sensors like older cars - that piece of metal sticking out that touches the rotors when pads are low). It used to only make this noise when going downhill in my driveway, now it also does it while braking at low speeds...

When I checked the computer on my car, it says I still have 10k til servicing.

This is an 07 X5 3.0

so my 2013 just back from dealer, they found a 0.3 deviation and replaced full set discs and pads in front. problem solved. i didnt have to get brakes according to the car for quite some time.
