Help with crank position sensor plz

I have the sensor off however there is a cable off the sensor going under the starter and I can not seem to find where it goes too plz help

It is always good to mention what kind of engine do you heve,but generally on the modern BMWs the crank position sensor is on the bottom driver side of the engine block between the cylinders 5 and 6.
